Is it normal that my cat purrs, then licks, then bites my nose?

I'll be dead asleep sometimes. I blame the temptations.... he always wants those damn things.

My cat does that all the time. He's done it since he was a kitten. Yes, sometimes he seems to be asking for treats. Yes he does it when I'm sleeping too. Sometimes I'll be having a nightmare and then some beast starts biting and kneading me with claws on my face and chest and I wake up terrified like I'm being attacked and don't know it's him and he gets thrown across the room.

But then he comes right back up and does it again!

I call them love bites, and I am the only one he does it to. :)

    I love my cat!

My cat used to nibble on my toes. I think it's normal unless it's aggressive or draws blood.

Cats do love bites, nothing usual unless it's aggressive.

  • Temptations? As in the 60s Motown soul band?

Lol, I'm sorry I should have explained it for those of u who aren't familiar with temptations.... In north America we have these cat treats that cats are addicted to called temptations - I just shake the bag and my cat appears

Funny story about Temptations. My sister's cat opened the drawer she kept them in, took it out onto the floor, scratched the hell out of the bag to make an opening, and ate the entire new bag.

I have a calico too and she is the sweetest girl who would never hurt me. But sometimes she just gets this predatory look in her eyes (probably from being locked in a house all day, not being able to exercise her instincts) and won't stop until she sees blood.
