Is it normal that my calf heats up practically out of nothing?

Recently, I've felt that when I'm doing almost whatever and stood up at the same time: dishes, cooking, organization tasks or something my calf gets heated up, after a while it goes back to normal. It may be that I am stressed and I don't know it, but I'm not sure and I don't know what that would have to do with my calves, anyway.

Thank you Dr. for your Hint, I did some small research in Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spontaneous_human_combustion and I found out that all the reported cases of Spontaneus Human combustion were so intense that brought the victims to death. There were a couple of phrases that could totally match my current circumstances: "Brian J. Ford has suggested that ketosis, possibly caused by alcoholism or low-carb dieting, produces acetone, which is highly flammable and could therefore lead to apparently spontaneous combustion." and "...Arnold also wrote that the flammability of a human body could be increased by certain circumstances, like increased alcohol in the blood. He also wrote that extreme stress could be the trigger that starts many combustions." (Unverified natural phenomena) Greetings :)

As long as you are well sir. I would recommend carrying a fire extinguisher with you at all times.

Perhaps your calf needs more water or a salt lick. I think it's very odd to keep your calf in the house and you might want to talk to Aliceee93, she knows lots about calves.

I know that when your body starts to heat up it can indicate a fever. IF your calf (in your leg, right?) heats up, it makes me wonder that you don't have some infection or something going on. Do you feel fatigued? do you feel sick? Fevers can indicate something serious like seizures in some people. You ought to pay good attention to the way you feel.

Thank you, I guess it was more related to stress, according to the leads of other users posts ;)

      I appreciate your concern :)

Do redness, pain and swelling ever accompany the heated sensation in your calves? Cause that would be one of the first warning signs of Deep Vein Thrombosis, a condition where potentially fatal blood clots are formed in the calves and could travel to the heart, brain or lungs resulting in cardiac arrest or stroke.
