Is it normal that my brother lies about me stealing his stuff?
My older brother lies about me doing things that I don't do to my parents and it gets me in extreme trouble.
I am 19, still living at home even though I hate it but I'm trying to go to college and work my way up to moving out.
My brother is 31 and he still lives here . He doesn't pay for rent , he doesn't help clean , he leaves a mess everywhere . He spends his money to go out and party with his friends and my mom doesn't say anything , in fact today I was using the bathroom and he kept banging on the door.
So I got out and the next thing I know is he lost his glasses and wanted to blame me for stealing them , he really is mean. He told my mom and my mom asked me multiple times if I had taken them and I had the same response which was no.
Me and my mom got into a huge argument because she basically told me it was my fault and she wanted me to move out . And then she compared me and my other brother to my other brother [not to be confusing I have another brother who lives with his girlfriend and works In some company] which made me mad and hurt so I took off and went out to go drink a beer and be by myself. Which I know is stupid but I just felt really mad because my mom always lets my brother manipulate her. He also tells my mom that because he is gay that his life is hard which means he doesn't have it easy like every one else in my family . And I just think he's crazy and hates his life , which is why I don't talk to him , Ever.
My parents are also trying to move to a house and talk about taking my brother to . Which I think is funny because he'll be living with them forever .
I just needed to talk about this because I don't know how to react , I don't even know how to move out .
And I do have money saved up in the bank and I just don't know what to do at this point because whenever he makes up these stories to my mom she always does this to me and tellse to stop taking his stuff and to move out.
What should I do or say to my parents so they can put my brother in his place?
