Is it normal that my boyfriend loses his...

Sometimes before we have sex, my boyfriend loses his erection. Its very strange because he will get one with just laying next to me, but when I take my clothes off, 20% of the time he loses it. He never gets hard while pleasuring me, so I often pleasure him instead. It makes me upset because I continually ponder if something is repulsive about my appearance. I think I'm attractive, but I wanted extra input, so I asked my guy friends about it and they were like, "is he crazy? You are beautiful." So I'm starting to think maybe its not my appearance. The other day I used his phone to call somebody and when I unlocked it, there was a glut of porn on the screen. It ranged from subtle to like more racy subjects ( I.e. bukkake.) it made me very upset to see this stuff. It's not the fact that he's watching porn..it just makes me think that maybe it is a contributing factor to his inability to maintain a boner.

Fairly normal, a lot of porn can desensitize a person. It has absolutely nothing to do with your looks. If he didn't think you're attractive he wouldn't have become your boyfriend or be having sex with you.

    • I think that's the answer you're looking for. Excessive pornography can make some people desensitized to real sex.

It is also possible he is getting anxiety that it will happen again, therefore causing it to happen.

Probably low in testosterone. He should start bodybuilding which should help increase his testosterone levels. I work out all the time and I also have to masturbate about 10 times a day plus have sex with the girlfriend once or twice everyday, I literally cannot get rid of my erection at all.

It's past time for him to visit a doctor! It can be very hard to do and share this problem wit a doctor, but convince him, for it could be a symptom of more serious health problem

He should see a doctor. Not normal. No idea if the porn is a contributing factor but probably not. Probably has nothing to do with your looks either :)

No offense, but I wouldn't jump to a conclusion like that. It's your opinion, don't go making this girl think her bf is messed up or something.

Medically there might be something wrong. It's probably a form of erectile dysfunction and there's most likely something he can take to help
