Is it normal that my boyfriend isn't that bothered about sex?

So me and my boyfriend are both virgins and he's given the impression from the first few weeks of the relationship that he's ready to have sex but he wouldn't pressure me into it. So yesterday, I asked him if he thought he was ready (assuming he'd say yes) and he said 'I dunno'. He's always incredibly eager for a blowjob, so why is this different? He always talks about it as well and pretends to force me into it (jokingly) and then stops. He says he definitely wants to do it eventually. I've just never heard of a guy to not want to get laid :P is it normal he's not that bothered about it?

    Yes, normal for inexperienced boys/men to be frightened they'll 'do it wrong' and look stupid. I now, I know, it's silly. But all of us feel this way when young.
    Your guy is just nervous, although nervous or not, I don't know how he resists you.

    That's such a sexist view, shame on you. No one would be worried if a girl were unsure about whether she was ready or not, but if it's a guy everybody loses their minds. He has every right to make you wait until he really wants to do it or until he's dealt with his insecurities.

    He's probably nervous, and feeling pressured. He jokes about it to come across as chill, while he's internally worrying a bit. He's probably obsessing over it in his mind, and has turned it into a bit of a big deal. He doesn't want to do something that he perceives to be "wrong." Maybe he's insecure in the fact that you'll still want to be with him if he does something "wrong?" If you love him, he can do no wrong. Try to prove this to him? Don't rush him. Talk to HIM about it too. I have no idea, I'm just speculating.

    He's probably just nervous, or doesn't want to look like he's pressuring you, or genuinely doesn't think he's ready for sex yet. He might also think that he is but thinks that you aren't. Either way just relax and wait and let him know you're ready (if you are)
