Is it normal that my boyfriend is adamant about starting a family

He's been obsessed with the idea of starting a family for a few months now. We're only 18, graduating h.s in a couple weeks. I think it's too early...way way to early. It just seems strange to me. Never have I ever heard of a 18 year old guy so eager for fatherhood. This may sound stereotypical, but aren't teenage guys supposed to want to go out and party? not stay home with kids?

    I wouldn't say its common, but that isn't a bad thing. As you said, most boys his age just care about partying. At least he's considering settling down and taken on responsibilities. Although you two are way too young for parenthood, which I'm sure you know.

    he may be scared that you'll leave him he want a baby to make sure you two are alway connected

      that's a really good point actually. Like the girl said it's not normal behaviour for his age especially being a guy. I wouldn't be worried about it though like Olivia said he is probably just looking for security in the relationship which only proves that he loves you.

      Please don't give in to his wish though you are way too young but don't get freaked out either. I think that when he realizes that the relationship and your feelings are serious (assuming they are) he'll probably forget about it.
