Yesterday, my boyfriend told me he has never masturbated before. We are both religious but very laid back about it and both agree that masturbation is a normal, healthy habit.

I don't masturbate because I have certain issues that make me unable (I've tried on multiple occasions). He assured me he doesn't have any issues with masturbating, he's just "never really tried it". We aren't having sex nor is our relationship really sexual at all. Both of us our virgins with extremely limited sexual experience (I'm his first gf).

He knows he doesn't have to lie to me, and promises he tries to never lie to me. Plus he wouldn't have a reason to lie because we've talked about more personal and embarrassing things then rubbing one out, so there wasn't a reason for him to lie.

He gets hard when we make out, so its not that it doesn't work or something. is it normal that he really doesn't do it? Do you guys think he really actually doesn't?

    EVERYONE Masturbates... eventually. ONLY the people ashamed and/or embarrassed about it lies and says they don't.

    Masturbation is natural and normal... BUT you being "religious" has NOTHING to do with you masturbating or having sex. If you can't leave your religion out of your sex life, then leave your religion altogether.

      The more i think about it, the more I'm leaning that way. I asked him if he's ever been aroused (just to see his answer). He said "well of course, everyone gets turned on." But... he doesn't masturbate? I guess it could be true but it just doesn't make much sense.

        I mean, weather it was to impress you, or he did it by accident, he lied. "I've never masturbated" is kind of a hard thing to cover over by saying something like "What? No I never said that." So he's just sticking to the lie.
