Similar to how I act toward my man.. my man cannot tongue kiss to save his life. I hate tongue kissing him and he always tried to stick his tongue in my mouth.. I've tried teaching him how to kiss (because I'm the one with the kissing skills) but he doesnt catch on.. maybe doesnt feel comfortable with the whole tongue thing. When I was in my teen yearss was highly disgusted with the kissing stuff...or maybe you just don't know how to kiss.

My EVERYtime he kissed me it was with his tounge halfway down my throat drooling all over me! & so I would aviod kissing him.. I really liked him though. So I endured it for another 6 months. But honestly I think that tounge kissing should be something you build up too. If that's the case for this situation then I would suggest kissing him 'passionately' for a couple minutes but don't put your tounge in his mouth.

After listening to your sense that he gets a bit defensive, I am inclined to think that perhaps he is Halitophobic? This may simply be a problem with hygiene. Most people (I’d give a wild guess of about 85%) brush their teeth daily, but ignore their tongues for weeks, months...years at a time. This would mean that the bacterial buildup on their tongues can cause it to change to a crusty pale shade and to develop a foul odor. The tongue is just as susceptible to dirt and plaque as the teeth are and so it needs to be brushed daily just like the teeth. This will have a tremendously positive impact on the scent of your breath because remember; the tongue is far more porous than your teeth and so will retain much more of the fluoridy/minty aroma. You might want to consider giving this a try and then getting close up to him so that he can get a whiff of that sweet perfume. Let him know that you are willing to do whatever it takes to get him comfortable passionately smooshing you.

If this is not a hygiene issue, it may just be a preference he has. Nothing to take personally (i.e. it is an issue about him, as opposed to an issue about you). If so, just let him know how much you’d like to kiss him and know that he is enjoying it as much as you and vice versa and prepare for the possibility that this is something he may never get into.

Um...don't listen to kashmychecks or whatever his name is. But your defenition of a kiss sounds different then his. And there are people that don't like to have passionate kisses or even the more personal kisses with the tongue.
