Is it normal that my boyfriend can't get a hard on without me?

My boyfriend can't get a hard on unless I tell him to. I mean: He cannot achieve a satisfing erection on his own.
First I must get undressed, possibly while putting up a sexy dance, then I must tease him for a while and stuff, and only then he gets an erection and we can get down to business.
He never asks me to have sex with him when I don't want to and never hits on me.
Is this normal?
