Is it normal that my boyfriend calls me a good girl?

My boyfriend and I have been dating now for almost two months. He's 19 and I'm 20. Whenever I stop arguing with him, I agree with him, or I do something he wants me to he usually says something like good girl. It doesn't really bother me but a friend of mine said it's demeaning. Is it?

Ha, I get called Good Charlotte off a few people, although I suppose that's very different. If someone ever called me a good girl I'd laugh in their face or say the thing I say when people say something annoying. It does sound demeaning (although it depends on whether it's meant to), but mainly just annoying. I think you should call him good girl. No particular reason why.

Yes it is demeaning. Next time even if he's right argue with him and DO NOT back down. And if it needs to end in a draw then let that be it. You have to let him know u have a voice otherwise he will walk all over u and won't do the things u want. There's a saying that goes if U don't have plans for yourself or speak up u will fit into someone else's plan.

Maybe he's been treated like a dog and liked it? If you don't mind it but get embarrassed when he says it in front if people tell him to only do it in private or tell your friend it's not her problem.

If you don't mind, I don't really see what the problem is.

I find this patronizing. If my husband tries this on me it usually results in a nipple twist or an aggressive grope of some sort.

I would love it if my husband called me a good girl. :3 Lucky. If you like it, there's no problem. Don't let other females femi-nazi shit go to your head.
