Is it normal that my boobs are getting bigger when they shouldn't?

So, basically, here's the deal - I'm 18. I first got my period when I was 11 and since boobs stop growing some years after you get your first period, my boobs should have stopped growing by now.

However, I have recently started getting more and more intimate with my boyfriend and we've had sex more than once. I am not on the pill or anything, but I've noticed some changes in my body - in this case, I've noticed that my boobs are bigger. They also feel heavier and swollen and really quite sensitive, and most of my bras don't fit me anymore.

Again, I'm not on the pill. Also, there's no chance that I might be pregnant, because we use protection. So, what the hell is going on?! Why are my breasts growing?!

  • I noticed my boobs shrunk and I haven't lost any weight. I'd better fix this via this method of sex you speak of.

      • *pulls small piece of paper out of hat*

        *reads* "Capy"

You're not suppose to write my name shuggy! I guess this means I have to take care of this by myself. :/

          • Oh, well I suppose that makes you a capybara. Since your not a full-fledged capy you can only go up to bat (that's lower than first base). :P

Whatever sort of protection you're using, there is ALWAYS some chance that you will become pregnent if you have sex. However, I wouldn't be worried about that as long as you have not missed your period.

It could be that you are a late bloomer and not 100% finished with puberty yet - that's not as abnormal as it sounds. It could also be that you are simply gaining weight.

Don't worry about it. The human body is not a solid object. No matter what age you are at, your body will constantly be changing in some way or another.

    Normal.

could be pregnancy (get checked then get on the pill you silly girl)

could be you're gaining weight (most of my weight went on my boobs when i gained weight. I'm going to miss my metabolism)

Could be you're not done growing in the chest area.

Oh and it could be heat related. Sometimes the boobs can "swell" a bit in warmer weather.

I found mine start to grow throughout my 20's. I've never been pregnant. You could be though- condoms aren't 100%. Nothing is 100%, not even sterilisation.
Could be fibrocystic breast disease - which sounds scary but it's actually not a disease- moreso a condition of lumpy, painful, swollen breasts.

Condoms have an 88% success rate... Breasts also swell around your period though.

Female breasts don't really stop growing until around the age 17-18, although pregnancy can give them a growth spurt.

So it could be pregnancy, or it could just be normal growth.

Best check with a pregnancy test though.

Breasts never stop growing, they continually change with age. They have a spurt during puberty, that runs at different speeds for different girls, so lasting beyond the age of 19. But they can continue to increase in size into your 20's. They start dense (small) and become less dense with age, causing their size to increase as a result.

    tl;dr: It's normal, don't worry.

As a woman who got pregnant on birthcontrol I can guerentee you it isn't 100%...even on the pill AND condoms. ( guess my son was just meant to be. :) ) go get yourself a home preggo test and if that is negative get a blood test just to be positive. I needed blood tests to confirm both my kids home preggo tests don't work with me I guess. Good luck to you but yeah get tested hon. Those sound like preggo boobs to me.

Hormone changes can cause your boobs to change. You could be preggers. Or it could be the result of being female.

If you are using condoms then there is a chance you are pregnant a very small chance but still a chance.

Besides no contraceptive is 100% guaranteed to work.

I think that you are pregnant and by the way it is very silly to have unprotected sex. The risk is not only to have an unwanted child but also infections. You should go to the doctor to see if everything is okay.
