Is it normal that my bf talks to a teddy bear?

My boyfriend talks to his teddy bear. He sleeps with it at night hugging it instead of me. I always say he kisses it and hugs it more than i do.I like to cuddle but he mostly cuddles with it.He actually has more teddys but this one he seems very attached to. I like to think that its a childhood thing but He had this teddy for 8 years which means he had it when he was 30. Sometimes it get too much for me coz he brings me in the convo w his teddy and when im not in a mood its hard to get in to and he get upset that i dont play?. Apparently the teddys are our kids. We have been together for a year, i know he has teddy before but its getting excessive his relationship with it.
Does anyone know someone who does this?
Im concerned it will get between us as he treats it like a real person. My bf is tough outside so you wouldnt think he is a teddy hugging at night guy.
