My boyfriend would come over one day wont call me the next day but would call me the day after to come over again or he wont call me for 2 days is this normal?
Yeah.
If he is not doing it enough for you then you should probably reevaluate your expectations for him. It seems like he is maintaining good contact with you without being totally stuck up your ass. If he's your only source of entertainment and quality human interaction then you need to get a life. That's a responsibility that one person shouldn't be charged with.
If he does it too much for you then let him know that you need more time to yourself. Unless he's overly sensitive or bonkers, he should understand.
I think it's normal, but a bit odd if it's forming a consistent pattern. (unless he lives a considerable distance away)
I wouldn't want to see someone every single day, but specifically making an effort to see them every other day is a bit odd too.
