Is it normal that my best friends think i'm a vampire?

Before I tell my story, I want to clear something up. This has been happening to me LONG BEFORE the Twilight fad. And furthermore, I hate Twilight. Harry Potter for the win! So a while ago one of my friends was at my house and I had to check my blood. (I'm hypoglycemic.) Afterward I licked the blood off my finger and she saw. She then began interrogating my about it. I told her that I like the taste of blood. Everything about it actually. The next day she came up to me in school and told me that I was "a freaking vampire" and that all the math adds up. Since she is my best friend, she knows EVERYTHING about me. From my self harm issues, to being socially awkward, and my clinical depression. The list is as follows:
-Socially awkward
-Unbelievably pale skin
-Cold skin
-"Fangs"
-Manipulative (I don't use it tho)
-Craving for blood
-Allergy to garlic and other such things
-I'm rather dark and mysterious
-Light footsteps (She found it relevant)
-I'm creepy
-My skin is sensitive to sunlight, as well as my eyes
-I'm extremely smart
-"Perfect bod" (Her words)
-Unbelievably beautiful (Again, her)
And so on and so forth. She then got a few of my other friends to believer her. The truth is, I actually believed her for a minute. Then I realized it could easily be explained by genetics and an iron deficiency. But I do crave blood, and have for a while. Most of the things in the list I would agree to be true about me. This ridiculous belief had followed me into a new high school, in a different state. Many of my newly found friends had noticed the obvious qualities and had started rumors. I believe on of the kids in school was out to kill me. (JK) Still, none of my blood work shows that I'm lacking anything, and I am relatively healthy. I can't help but be curious. I do believe that anything is possible.
The question I am asking is this: Is it normal that I crave blood and have all these odd characteristics of a so called vampire?

Really? This post contradicts the "you being extremely smart" theory.
Other than that, you need to realize that novels like Twilight are put in the fictional section for a reason.
Your not a vampire, a werewolf, or anyone from the Harry Potter series.
You can enjoy the novels/movies all you want, but don't confuse fantasy with reality.

    clinical depression--->extremely smart=?
You can't be extremely smart if you are clinically depressed. It's a thing about dopamine.. I won't explain it, you wouldn't understand. That being said...
to understand at the full extent of our capabilities we must first shed some light over the vampire myth and how it has been created. Has there been any person feeding on human blood, being extremely perverted, and basically fitting the profile of who we consider a vampire today? first historical accounts inevitably make us stumble over the historical figure of the transilvanian Vlad the impaler. Who, for all we know from historical accounts of the era, did not have a fetish for human blood. Also known as: Count vlad had the peculiar habit of impaling his victims and leaving them to rot all around his castle to warn and discourage eventual strangers with bad intentions approaching the castle.
Besides all this, there has been a mad countess bathing in slained virgins blood out of the insane belief in the rejuvinating properties this blood, according to folklore of the era, held... there have been some cases recently of maddened out youngsters attacking ladies claiming they needed their blood to survive, a form a psychosis most likely destined to become more widespread amongst the youth population due to the popularity of such movies and the characters within them. There is some public concern about it, but not enough to raise alarming debates on the subject.

She, your friend, is just trying to make you feel like and possibly identify yourself as a real version of edward in the movie twilight just so she can get her prize. Live her dream of being a sexy vampire lover. There is nothing more to it. She is just trying to assign you a persona for you to play the game with. reality is: you are just a pale kid, probably due to heavy blood loss from the cutting or some other ailment making you also more sensitive to light. The "blood craving" is something you simply something you get off with, something making you feel like you are doing something special, differentiating you from the rest of "straight boring people". It is just one of the many forms of psychosis you could get stuck with.
didn't you say your bloodwork was ok ?
    see? it's a psychosis.

And me. Clinically depressed people tend to be depressed because they're clever enough to work out people like you.

    1) your heart beat rate tells whether you're vampire or not.
(I ve heard that vampires have extreme heart beats).

    2) If you get cut by knife or have small wounds, you'll get cured very soon than a normal human.

If above two points are true, you're not human type practically.

Vampires have no heartbeats. They're dead.

Hahahaha this is hilarious :) People get too worked up over nothing. Obviously the girl's just a weirdo! But, what's wrong with that? Let her enjoy her fun. Don't need to get so serious and act like buttholes. Coulda just been nice.. but hey, it made me laugh.
Anyway. Yeah, it's normal for your friends to be complete idiots. No, it's not normal to actually believe you are a vampire, but there's nothing wrong with a little bit of pretend and fun ;P And there's nothing wrong with her friends complimenting her! It definitely does not mean that they are lying to her. I don't compliment my ugly friend's looks.. cause I don't like to lie. Usually I just compliment their shoes, hair, etc. I'd expect the same too. Judging by her picture, there's nothing wrong with her. She is pale, and cute.. not so much dark and mysterious haha. Anyway, I'm done here.

Didn't I say this was happening long before Twilight. I haven't been in school for a few years and most of this happened in middle school. And I don't think I am, but I do find the idea intriguing. And why the hell can't I be smart and depressed at the same time. I am no longer depressed BTW. By the way, I don't like how you're saying "friend." By the way, how many of you realized that I'm a girl? And, for the record, I am straight. And yes, I will post a picture.

I think your friend might be a lil obsessed with twilight/vampire diaries or the thought that you might be one(which i highly doubt)

  • Considering it was your "friend" that said you're beautiful, smart etc, you really can't expect to take that info seriously. Friends compliment their friends all the time. Infact, just today I heard a friend say to an extremely ugly friend that she's "gorgeous".

You're manipulative but you don't use it? Then how would you know you're manipulative? If you have done it a few times, perhaps you only done it to the few idiots (which is easy to do).

It's from my understanding that vampires aren't socially awkward, infact, they actually engage in social activities to fit in.

You're dark and mysterious? Said your friends? Once again, people might just be saying this to make you feel good, which it's obviously doing.

Tell you what, you post us a pic of you, and then we'll make an assumption ourselfs? You would have to make it so we can know it's a picture of you and not a fake picture.

Alot of what you have said shows a "non-vampire" type attitude. Pale skin is quite common nowadays, we all have fangs (canines), and alot of us burn easily. Also, alot of people get called nice things by their friends, it's the reason people call them friends.

So, supply a picture, and we'll assess it all for ourselves. (ofcourse, I mean we'll assess if you look like one, to actually think you could be a vampire puts a big red cross over the "you being extremely smart" part.

Considering your description, I can see why your friends would make the association. As long as you don't actually start thinking you are a vampire, its all in good fun.

(I am a little concerned about the self-harm thing..... thats not good).

You have a fantastic self-image, I must say. Also, please explain the "craving for blood" thing. You might just be into sadism. And have poor circulation.
