Hi as from my question above I'm wondering is it normal to have a boy for a best friend. Me and my best friend have been friends since 7th grade and now we are freshmen in college. Many people always say that having a boy as a best friend is bad and that we're friends with benefits but I consider him family and like a brother but nothing more. I'm not trying to sleep with him or anything, but people don't get it. Should I feel bad for that but I don't want to because he's like family and I love him like a brother. Is it normal that my best friend is a boy?

      Haha right? I bet if we hear this from the other side he is all "I've loved his girl since the 7th grade but she shoots me down every single time! I get so jealous when I see her with other guys and just think that it should be me! I'm TOTALLY trying to get with her because I think I love her."

    Yes,it`s normal. However do not be shocked at one stage or the other when (not if) he will make a pass at you.

    We as men have a different mindset and as a guy i can tell you straight that we cant be "just friends" with someone from the opposite sex.

    Imagine if Eve only wanted to be friends with Adam.Hell no, we are pre-programmed at birth to think and act way differently than the female species.

    Enjoy the "platonic" friendship as long as it lasts.

    Are you sure you're not just friendzoning this guy? If he wants more than friendship, you're just being cruel to him with the whole "like a brother" thing.
