Is it normal that my armpits smell even with deodorant?

No matter what kind of deodorant I use or how often I use it, my armpits always have a slight 'funk' to them. I shower every day, sometimes twice a day! They don't smell BAD, and I highly doubt it's noticeable by anyone else. But when I reach for things and get a whiff of my underarms it's really embarrassing and extremely annoying. Is this normal? What can I do to fix it?

Some people sweat very badly. Some people sweat very frequently and can not help it. Some deodorants are not strong enough. I have the same issue and a lot of time I just keep putting it on multiple times. Some people just sweat badly. Try a different brand.

Stop drinking soda/pasteurized juice and only drink tea or kombucha

CertainDri and Deodorant. Plus... and i hate to say it, if you are a dude and you have that issue TRIM ALL THAT HAIR DOWN under there. Not off but do you really need enough hair under your arms to make a wig out of?

Are you using a deodorant or an antiperspirant?

The former covers up the odors of your armpit, while the latter slows down the production of sweat.

You may want to consider changing brands

Switch to anti persistent, make sure you always wash it off, wear breathable clothing. Carry baby wipes if you want to.

That is the very reason that i swapped over to an anti perspirant. For me, deoderant always seemed to mask BO, lasting for only a couple of hours before that 'funk' kicked in. I had read many years ago that BO was caused by bacteria in the armpit hairs. I started to wash my armpits thoroughly every day before using an antiperspirant and have never had a funk problem since. Hope that helps.

Anti-perspirant is really bad for you. Some people (like me) actually quite like the smell of armpit!
