Is it normal that my 13 year old son has a crush on a ten year old?

I think my 13 year old son has a crush on a 10 year old girl in the neighborhood. He is always talking about her. Also, I looked at his computer when he was at school, and he was googleing "How to see a 10 year old naked?", and he even wrote a couple poems about her on his computer!! Is this normal?!?!?!???

Boys just going through puberty are finding themselves attracted to other girls in their age group?? Blasphemy!

I'm not sure how normal that is for that age range. I mean when I was 17, I was practically in love with a girl who was 14, which is also a three year age difference. That didn't work out so well, but I wouldn't be too worried about it. You might want to clear that browsing history though, because if the government monitors it, they could come to your house and arrest you.

Yes, that is normal boy behavior. You should probably get on to him about what he types into the computer though. Be cool about it, don't just call him out and embarrass the poor little fellow. Suggest to him in a less-obvious way that he should be more careful with his internet browsing.

okay woman relax, stop being soo overprotective, let your kid be its just that he probably began his curiosity for sex and has an interest on her. So its all pretty normal, unless, as already mentioned in previous posts, if he gest a bit older but the girls ten to stay 10, only then you should worry. Infact, be prepared to supply some contraceptive money once he turn 15 at least.

I think you should take away his computer. They are going to think someone in the house is looking up peadophile porn. Scold him!

Sounds pretty normal to me. I suggest you start having 'the talks' with him, as well as teaching him about appropriate and inappropriate. Better to get it over with sooner then leaving him to his own devices, and sources of information.

uh, id b freaked out about the google thing... if he was just crushing on this girl i wouldnt think it was a big deal but based on his search hes obviously fixated on the fact that shes 10. i would keep checking his searches and make sure nothing weirder pops up

My bad, I misread the age difference.

It's a two year age difference and that's fine. But the weird part is what he's trying to search on the internet... You reealy should tell him to be careful of his internet searches, because the government does monitor computers and YOU could could be wrongly accused for he's doing. I would also take concern if he keeps trying to search that the older he gets...

  • I don't mean to alarm you, but your son sounds like a budding pedophile. You should step in immediately before things get out of hand.
