    Common, I'd say. Nor necessarily NORMAL. He might have premature ejaculation. Sometimes it can help for him to jack off beforehand, making the second session with you last longer. That kind of thing is more common than guys would like to admit, but it's something that could have a medical cause. Maybe suggest he go see a doctor?
