Is it normal that my 4 y/o cousin is terrified of spongebob??

Ok so my grandma was baby-sitting my baby cousin and he told her that is is scared of Spongebob. This confused me because everyone loves Spongebob. But he also cries and screaming for no reason sometimes. I don't think think it's normal. What do you think?

    If he's terrified of SpongeBob by seasons 1-3, there's a problem. Classic SpongeBob is golden.

    But if he's terrified of SpongeBob from season 4 onwards, the season where it completely hit rock bottom (lol SpongeBob pun) then that's bloody normal! They completely destroyed him...

      I totally agree with you! i'm 20 and the newest spongebob seasons freak me out!!
      I remember when i was a kid..awww.. Spongebob was perfect.
      i dont know why they did that to him :(

      exactly!! i was gona say the same. show that kid the original spongebob, like season 1... it was more relaxed and just cute

    Lol I can see where you guys are coming from but it's not watching the show that scares him it's just looking at him. For example, if he see spongebob being advertised in stores he'll start kicking and screaming. I really don't think that's normal.

    It terrifies me. A sponge that lives in a pineapple... under the sea... with a snail... that meows? If I'd have ever taken drugs in my life, I'd have thought I was having an acid flashback. At least that would have explained it. Because I've never done drugs, it's scarier still!
