Is it normal that murderers, rapers and pedophiles don't bother me?

Like I see on the news about people being murdered, raped etc and everyone around me is like it's awful and I don't really react I just shrug my shoulders. I don't understand why they would feel mad at them.

It really doesn't bother me in the slightest. Like I would be able to have a normal conversation with them without feeling hate.

You might if something happened to you personally. For the rest, I think they're just jumping on easy targets.

My personal views are that if somebody did something to me then fair play, it's survival of the fittest so I wouldn't be mad.

So if you got raped you'd say: "Fair enough...You got me...I guess I had it coming"

Murderers and rapists are the next step in evolution. They make sure their genes are passed on and they kill the competition.

Too bad our society has progressed to the point that those "murderers, rapers and pedophiles" are not just destroyed as one would a rabid dog. There are just some criminals who cannot be rehabilitated and that is a fact.
I'm not mad at them, but at the "progressives" who want to fix the unfixable, at the expense of more victims.
How about we put these liberal progressives in a compound with these dregs of humanity and see how long they maintain there position of rehabilitation.

97.5% of rapists don't commit rape again after they've been released. 98.8% of murders don't commit murder again after they been released. Almost everyone is successfully rehabilitated, but you'd still have them all killed? That's terrible.

I don't honestly think a "normal", healthy human commits murder or rape. These children who kill other children, are missing something and IMO should just be destroyed.
I doubt your statistics, especially concerning rapists (why the huge push for sex offender's lists?) but haven't the inclination to research it, so I do not have a leg to stand on when it comes to a realistic argument.
Any person who hurts another person, in an unprovoked attack, should just be destroyed. Who needs them or wants that sort of menace around? Do you?

If you doubt my statistics, please click my link. I'm sure you'll find it satisfactory.

If serious offenders are missing something, it seems that in 98% of cases they can find that something again.

There's a huge push for death sentences, sex offenders lists etc. because people are easily whipped up into a frenzy about these things because they don't know the danger is so low. I think if people realised how low rate of this kind of offending was, they wouldn't be so frightened of crime that they'd go to extraordinary lengths.

If you are forced to accept that rehabilitation works, then the only reason you have to kill offenders is vengeance. Vengeance is selfish. Vengeful people would impose their morals on others without due process. Vengeance flies in the face of utilitarianism. Vengeance is never an admirable aim.

Sorry, but it's just taking out the trash, to me.
Anyway, I doubt that a report from 1994 has much relativity today.
Kill 'em all and let god sort it out.

Are you the same user who said "everything is morally right if one feels that it is" and that you wouldn't care if someone murdered your entire family? You sound a bit like him but with a different username, but you actually sound like less of an asshole.

Some people may have been misunderstood growing up and didn't get the help they needed, so it's okay to have SOME empathy there, however nothing can justify certain acts. I can't believe the Tumblr fangirls obsessed with serial killers and mass murderers (particularly the Columbine, Aurora and Newtown killers). Again, it's unfortunate if they didn't get the help they needed, but why would you glorify such violent crimes? What can possibly justify opening fire on one's schoolmates, random strangers in a movie theatre or little children? What can justify the crimes of serial killers (raping/sexually assaulting and murdering strangers)? Yeah, I'm just curious. Killing in self defense is different though, that's justifiable in certain situations.
