Is it normal that me (guy) and my best friend (girl) were cuddling?

Me (guy) and my best friend (girl) were at a party. I got pretty wasted and ended in bad shape and crashed in the room next to where the party was happening. My best friend came onto the bed to check on me and slept with me that night to make sure I was okay. I woke up at around 4 AM and my best friend was awake as well. We were holding hands. And a little after our deep stare, we started having a "pretty major cuddle session" if you would. And she is in a relationship. But after this, none of us felt awkward. It was normal to us. We are incredibly close, we're past best friends. She would dump her boyfriend for our friendship. And yeah... We're incredibly close. But I'm still not sure if what happened last night was normal for two best friends?

    Heterosexual men and woman cant be friends with one another, there will always, always, ALWAYS be sexual tension, if one or the other is gay then perhaps there wouldnt be, but if you both are straight there will always be tension from one side or both sides and then one person will end up getting really hurt at one point when someone says "I just want to be friends" translated "I am not attracted enough to you". It doesnt sound like thats a problem for either of you as it sounds mutual, but if she would drop her boyfriend in an instant for the "friendship" then what you have is WAY MORE then just a friendship.

    It may sound like I speak from experience, not from personal experience, but I have seen it up close with people I know.

    Lol. I have a friend (girl) who is like this too. We are soulmates, she has a relationship with a guy. She sometimes does stuff to me that I wouldn't accept if I was her boyfriend. She kisses me on my mouth, hugs me a lot, probably the same stuff as she does with you. No awkwardness either. It's kinda fun IMO, enjoy it :P (and take a chance on her when she's single again, it will probably end up well)

    It'd say that pretty normal since you have know her for so long and probably caring for you made her realize how much she cares about you more than a friend. Since she probably had new feelings for you and she wanted to let you know that she wanted to move past best friends. It might have been easier to just cuddle with you than talk about it since you were already in the same bed and vulnerable since you were wasted.

    Sounds like realy close freinds to be so ima say normal, but if shes ever single... i honestly say go for it, if your this close as friends youd be a fool to not take the chance if she breaks up with that guy

    To be honest I would say its normal. But thats because my best friend and I can cuddle too without it affecting our friendship in any way. I mean it is just cuddling. It would be another story if you had kissed or something. But cuddling is innocent enough.
    But I dont know how innocent it is if one is in a relationship.. I dont know. Hmm... damn now that made me think lol

    I think that is very sweet what happened, but it is not right though because she has a boyfriend. I think you should confront her about it and talk about what happened to make sure she doesn't have feelings for you as more than just friends. If she does have feelings for you then she needs to break up with her boyfriend.
