Is it normal that me and my wife have turned anilingus into love?

I've always had a thing for women's anuses. When I met my wife six years ago, she said she never even tried anal sex before. We're quite honest about everything we've done in the past so I don't think she would have a reason to lie about that. Anyway, I introduced her to anal and after a few tries she started enjoying it.

She's always clean after shower when we do it, she uses lotions and other stuff that help prevent bacteria from developing and we've never contracted any diseases from doing so.

Anyway I'm really curious as to what other people think about it because I've never told my friends about it thinking they would go mad over it.
