Is it normal that me and my girlfriend made a daughter?

Me and my girlfriend have been dating for a long time now and we love each other. Last month she made a doll and we treat it like its our daughter: hold her, talk to her, etc... Is this behavior normal? It feels natural for us to treat her this way but i'm not sure what everyone else thinks of this. Thank you for any feedback.

It sounds as if you two are seriously thinking about starting a family at some point in the future...depending on your age of course. Anyways I think it's cute that you two did that, it only becomes a problem when it's taken too far or you two start to believe that the doll is in fact your daughter.

Baby doll kids are less expensive than a real child. Only after u master being the parents of a doll, and only then, should u have a real child.

I suppose it would depend on how old you are and whether or not it's predominatly a joke.

Why don't you just adopt a child? It does not matter if you are gay or straight. No one wants these kids and that has to be horrible for self esteem. Give these children a home and show them that you love them. They need someone to care for them. I have known children without parents like this and they always feel unwanted.

Okay that's a little weird. Sorry. Apparently some part of you thinks this is weird which is why you asked us. Are you seriously into it or are you just doing it because your girlfriend is into it?

I think you 2 should marry. Then you could have an actual child.

Hmmm, Dating a long time..., It sounds like you two are not living together. If you two have been dating for over two years then it is either, time to pop the question or come to and understanding of where you are REALLY, as a couple.

The doll may represent her desire for a commitment of marriage and to start living the traditional life that many/most people see as the meaning of life, to wit, having a family. Ball is in your side of the court.

Wow, thats so sweet. All BFs and GFs should have this kind of relation and be this close both physically and mentally. These days all BFs and GFs do is go on a few dates and thats it. That might make them BF and GF but not true lovers. You two on the other hand are true lovers, should get married, protect each other and your babies, all ways support each other no matter what happens nd always stay together to the very END!!!!

I don't see a problem with it. IMHO it's a great substitute if you don't want the responsibility of taking care of real children. Besides, it's not like you are hurting anyone...

How old are the two of you? If you are both adults with a good education and jobs then I don't see why the two of you couldn't get married.
