Is it normal that me and my frend randomly ended up having sex?

Last night, after school my friend came over to see me because we hadn't met up in a few weeks. Well, we were both just expecting to talk and listen to music and stuff but after laying on my bed (just because it was comfy) I ended up laying on top of her and kissing her with tongues. Then..it turned both of us on and before we knew what was happening we were having sex o_O I was so confused. We've had sex once before, just because we both wanted some and hooked up..but this was a shock to both of us. Im just wondering what you lot think of this.

    I think it is completely normal. It's happened to me several times. The problem is that if it keeps happening, one person usually starts to have feelings for the other. (Or maybe they had them from the beginning and didn't tell you!) I have only had the friends-with-benefits thing work out twice. One time I got hurt, and the other times I lost a good friend.

    It's not the kind of thing that happens to everyone, but it's not that weird either. I've hooked up with one of my friends a couple times when we both happened to be horny and single, and we just went back to being friends after that. It is kinda awkward now that she has a boyfriend though; we didn't have romantic feelings for each other and it was never a big deal between us but he's a nice guy and I wonder if he knows or if I should tell him.
