Is it normal that me and my crush...

Me and my crush's relation ship is weird, we and friends but not close friends maybe we just talk to each other like with a group of friend we never talk to each other alone, so I thought he would never like me back, but once when my friend ask him who do u like, she ask few names and when is my name he said "um...hum... but she don't like me " in front of me, which make me blush hard like my face is all red and I can feel that my face is like so warm. But after few weeks ( never talk to me in those weeks even in a group of friends and I show him That i love him so much and I think he knows it ) he is dating a girl who I most hate in the school, what dose that mean? Dose every boy dose that? Is it weird or normal??? ( sorry for my bad English and gramma)
