Is it normal that its hard for me to be friends with co-workers

I have had multiple jobs over the years and out of all of them I was rarely friends with any of my co-workers and had trouble making casual conversation with them.

Even though outside of work I have no problem keeping up casual conversation with anyone. IIN?

I have had many jobs too, And sometimes the other employees, wanna make it hard for you so you'll quit. Because they feel like your a threat to their job, or their jealous or some bullshit. But just try talking to a few of the nicer ones. And forget the rest.

I suppose it depends on what kinda job you're working. I've had certain jobs where little to no skill was required and I didn't make a lot of friends at those jobs because it was hard to find people with whom I shared common interests.

yeah, connect much easier when working together with someone on something rather than just standing around during free time, trying to force small talk, at least while at work

I think so. I've always found that when I'm in "work mode" I'm kind of playing a role and acting a certain way so I might be a little more guarded and less casual, which just makes it different relating to people at work vs real life. You might find this too.

Also, I've worked with quite a few people who make no effort being friendly because they just don't want to be at work.
