Basically I don't like being single, it makes me really sad and kinda paranoid that I'll never find anyone.. Is it normal to feel like this? I mean I'm a 17 year old girl and I've been told I'm pretty by alot of people.. But I'm still not sure. Any advice or is there any guys in Ohio that feel the same way?
Your words could have come from my mouth. I feel exactly like you do, we're even the same age! Well, sooner or later, it will happen for us.
It's very normal. I'm single too and hate every part of it. People who can date anyone they want easily don't value it so much so it's easy for them to say that it shouldn't matter or that you should love yourself and that crap. Bah.
Well I'm a guy who feels the same way, not in Ohio, though, sorry :)
But anyway, I feel like that every hour of every day. But, unlike you, I actually have no self esteem. There have been a few girls who I have liked, but I have never told any of them, because I have such a problem with my inferiority complex. If you've been told you're pretty by people, it's a safe bet that you're at least fairly attractive. The greatest compliment to my physical appearance I have ever received is "Well, you have muscle, but it's buried underneath your fat".
In short, as long as you have a pleasant personality, which is extremely likely, considering your question, and you have at least a mediocre level of physical appeal, you'll eventually have a satisfying relationship, just try to be more confident and remember that there are always people less confident than you are in their appearance.
I feel the exact same way. I dont feel like im incompleat wityout a man but i just love the feeling of another human being loving me like i love them (other than my family). Dont worry, we will both find someone.:-) i promise
If you look at the media that is thrown at us everyday it is pretty easy to see this is normal for a lot of people. Name a television show that does not have some kind of love story. A movie. A popular novel.
We are constantly reminded to go find the right person even though we may not want or need someone. You are normal, many of us have the same problem and it is hard to face.
I loved being single no one to bitch to you love it embrace it then some wonderful someone will come and make you trip and fall in love
I'm a few years younger than you and I feel the same way. unfortunatley that means that I have no advice for you. you'll find somebody soon I'm sure. everybody finds someone at some point. that's what all of my friends tell me.
unfortunately your perspective is not uncommon. i hate that girls are taught that they aren't whole, or good enough, without a man. this is not true. have you ever thought about going to therapy? it would help you to have a better relationship with yourself, and to have healthier relationships in the future.
(what man wants to be in a relationship with a girl who "needs" him-- he would never know if you really cared about HIM or if you were just being with him so you didn't have to be single.)
You have to love yourself first before you can love anyone else... A man shouldn't make you feel complete... Don't even worry about it.. Be happy and try to stay busy and the right person will come along!
