Is it normal that im upset that my boss is ignoring my request?

I booked a trip several months ago and was told at the time that I had to wait until close to the trip to get my time off approved. Now it's less than two months away and I am still waiting to have this trip I spent two thousand dollars on approved. I have reminded my boss several times but he just ignores me. I'm becoming very upset and having trouble doing my job. I have not taken a day off in a really long time in order to assure that I had time off for this and several other engagements. I now feel like every time I try to go about taking time off I will be ignored no matter how hard I try. I really don't want to cause drama by going over my bosses head but I'm feeling very mistreated. What should I do?

    write a resignation notice for the date before u leave, then work very hard till then, including some of ur co-workers responsibly's,

    so they WILL miss u

    Fucking peaple that are over you. Corner him and do it at a big meeting so if he says no he will look like a prick

    I would book an appt with ur boss and talk about it face to face. Make sure you remind him/her of the dates you first talked about itl

    put something in writing and if he ignores it then go to his boss. it should have been approved the first time you asked. you gave a lot of notice so they would have had plenty of time to organise someone to replace you while you were gone. you have every right to have leave. dont feel bad if you have to go above your boss.
