i dont find what most people would call a 8-10/10 attractive but when i see a cute nerdy boy/girl i instantly fall in love with them and think there the best looking person ever. i have no clue why that im not into what most people would say are hot.
Makes sense. The "attractive" style (of my age group) for girls is to look like a slightly melted bratz doll that only wears musty pink and beige. Stereotypical hot guys try to look like they're apart of a washed up indie band or rap group. They're both certainly cute, but generic.
I think "hot" varies from person to person though? If a cute nerdy person is an 8 to you, then you're attracted to hot people technically because the term "hot" is arbitrary. I'm sure my boyfriend isn't a 10 to most people, but he damn sure is to me and thus I'm attracted to my definition of hot.
To me I am attracted to the more of the plain looking women out there, they seem more down to earth the the gorgeous ones are.

I tend to be attracted to guys that most people would not consider to be "hot". So, yes, it's very normal. If everyone liked the same people, some people would never have relationships.
