im a bi girl in highschool, and last year i got a crush on one of my best friends who is also a girl, but she claims shes straight. everybody thinks shes bi but she hasnt came out so idk if she is or not. anyway, it sucks cuz idk how to go about this! i WILL say that we went on a trip as a school and she forced me to sleep in the same bed as her... it was hard not to cuddle her

    First of all, it doesn't matter what others say. If she says she is straight, believe her. You have no reason not to.

    But to answer your question, yes, it is normal to have a crush on your straight friend. It's normal to have crushes on people.

    You deal with this by... well, ignoring it. It's just a crush. It'll fade. If she is straight then you probably won't have a chance with her. Just look at other girls and boys. Realize how amazing they are.

    Also, if she is bi but says she's straight, she most likely isn't ready for a relationship with a girl anyway.

    I say let it go.

    You realize too girls sleeping together even as adults is considered normal right? So dont oversuxualize sleepovers. If two girls sleep at each other houses it does not mean they are gay. Now if they sleep together and have sex maybe yeah. You are her best friend maybe she did not want to sleep alone on said trip. Also girls generally have the freedom to be friendlier with each other apposed to the relationship men are allowed to have. So If you cuddled I do not think she would notice. If she is straight she is so leave her alone.

    It is normal, but if she's straight, it's not likely to go anywhere. Just stick to being friends with her. You'll find the right guy/girl eventually.
