Is it normal that im feeling depressed after stopping smoking weed?

I have been smoking weed on and off for about a year and a half but in the recent 5 - 6 months I have been smoking it every day. I started to feel a bit paranoid and down, nothing to major but enough so that I could tell it was effecting me. Today is my third day of quitting and to be perfectly honest I feel terrible, still a little paranoid and quite depressed, will this feeling go?

  • definitely a common side effect of stopping getting high every day. I would advise you try to work through this without going back to smoking and then after a while you can if you so choose smoke some every now and then but this is what happens when you smoke a shit ton of weed every day and stop. Same thing has happened to me a couple of times. It can be somewhat addictive, not severely so like crack or something, but mildly addicting for sure

Yep normal. I experienced all that and some anxiety as well but ended up toking again so that I won't have those feelings. Try not to stop cold turkey or else the withdrawal symptoms will be a bitch

Yea it's normal & common to experience paranoid & depression. That's 1 of the major side effects of withdrawl.

Get back on the herb, it's a medicine for a reson. To help stuff like that. Now if you weren't feeling depressed before that's wield that you aren't now. I have had friends that smoked for a couple years and stopped and I have never heard of withdrawls with weed
