Is it normal that im disgusted by my children when they chew near me?

My two boys (aged 9 and 6) have a habit of chewing and slurping and looking over my shoulder so I am getting the full benefit of the sound. They chew with open mouths and like a lot of children get a lot of sniffly colds. I love my kids but this practice makes me want to pick them up by the ears and slam them face first into a wall. Do I need to make them stop or just man up and deal with it.

Teach them some manners and then maybe you should seek and anger management course or something because you shouldn't want to "pick them up by the ears and slam them face first into a wall." That is a little odd..

Maybe you should give them a little TLC?

  • Omg what's wrong w parents today?? Of course u should teach them manners and make them stop. No wonder the world is full of derelicts, parents today have no concept of authority and discipline and ethics!!

With my kids I just start chewing my food the exact same way they do so that they get self-conscious about it. :p
