Cling to any ray of hope you can find, one foot in front of the other until things get better and the crisis situation passes. Try not to wallow in your depressed state for too long whatever you do. Take control of what you can, let go of all else.

I know what you mean. I honestly, sometimes wish I'd just drop dead. Today has been such a nightmare. I don't want to burden you with it, but I do want to say to please get help. I'm truly sorry you're going through this; you are not alone in your pain and suffering.

Depression is completely normal you feel like you can not do anything right or you are not good enough for anyone I know how that feels but I listen to music to remind me that I can overcome this

Depression is a strong word. If you're feeling down a lot, maybe you need to take some action or talk to someone to change/cope with/distract yourself from your situation.

    • I was thinking about this recently. I feel like depression wasn't as common in society in the late 20th century as it is now. I can guess on some factors (people work more hours, higher debt, people don't seem to get out more, people seem to spend more times on pleasures than necessary, cancer and Alzheimer's rates are crazy high and affecting more families) but wonder why it has seemed to increase so much in the past 15 years.

      • I think its because of the severe stress people are under today. Stress is poison it kills us.

No it is not normal. It may seem like it is, sometimes, but it isn't. Your life will get better. Try to reach out to your support and carers and hang in there.

Being treated for depression myself, I know you get depression that is either due to a chemical imbalance in your brain, for which you will have to take medication and get therapy long-term, and/or depression due to situational circumstances, which may also benefit from medication on the shorter term, but will most definitely benefit from therapy and calling on your support system like friends.
