you're making some horrible decisions, but that doesn't make you a horrible person. drugs are addicting even before you do them, because of how tempting they are, and it's hard to just say no awkwardly. i know, because i used to be addicted to cocaine, and i've been clean now for since january. i wouldn't have been able to do that without willpower, and it's really not that hard to find because it's always right there. you just have to really want to do it, and put yourself into perspective how much better your life would be. you won't always have another chance, because either you'll kill yourself at some point or you'll get in trouble. and you don't want someone else forcing your life back into shape. you can do it yourself. and how hard it is, that all depends on your attitude and how you feel. it's entirely up to you. if you feel horrible, then just go for a better clean life. you can do it. best of luck to you, friend.

I just read an article about 3 kids who got killed by heroin sounded just like you, it's a quick horrible death

COming on IIN will not be a big help because your problem is a very serious one. You'll probably never be able to quit with it. Heroin is highly addictive and most peolpe who try to quit become alcoholics. But if you really want to change you have to talk of your problem to a adult. Coming here on IIN will not help at all

It's normal. I'm on heroin for the last 3 yrs. On n off. And it sucks now bc I dnt even get high but I try not to do that much 1-3 bags a day. Quitting is hard. I wouldn't steal from friends n fam tho that's fukd up. Maybe u should get a job like me

Yes getting addicting to any drug is normal when quit any drug depending on the person its very normal to feel smythoms of the drug well your quiting

i know how you feel only my addiction is crack cocaine. im 19yr old girl and id do anything for a rock and im not proud of it but i do it anyway. i got my best friend hooked to and for that i feel terrible. i moved an hour away from my old town to get clean and still i end up driving back almost daily i just cant let go. ive stolen from family and friends alike and ran up 3 different credit cards and yet i keep going back for more. i dont know what to do if i had it my way me and my best friend would stay together forever in a hole with a big pile of crack and just sit there and smoke forever and ever but it never lasts forever and i keep having to go back for me i dont want to but i feel i have to. i think i need help...

Stop. You have crossed the line from typical heroin user mucking around and blowing all their money to nearly-soulless thief junkie. Just stop, before you get hep-C. It's not a joke. The treatment for it takes a year and is often compared to chemo- and there's no guarantee it works. Get into an INPATIENT program where you have no choice whatsoever but to deal with the withdrawals and get over them, while you still have some humanity left in you. Stay

People let their lives get fucked up. Yeah you do fucked up shit but no one is perfect and this is very typical in drug addicts. So yes it is normal to be a drug addict depending on your brain chemistry. But what you do to support your habbit is not noble.

This is really sad. I hope you're OK. You've got to tell you mother that you need help. Sure she maybe angry at first but she'd undoubtedly want to help you. It's your best shot at getting the help you need. I hope you get that help.

What a tradgedy this is. I am amshaned of the number of highschool studends doing sht like this. Even weed is nasty. Get help is all I can say. And don't give in to your thoughts. I have never tried the stuff and never will, so I don't know how har it isto quit; but for the sake of humanity, be one of the smart people, and eliminate one addict from the already huge list that there is. Sometimes I am ashamed of our race...

better than being a p addict i suppose. i use to be addicted to speed(well i no longer use so i still am but im clean in recovery) so i understand why you stole the money yes your are horrible no u dontt have to continue on this way, to fund my habbit i pedald mysery by selling exstacy speed pee and heroin, and letting people into small debt and then having them pay me on pay day then buy more (handing over there whole paycheck rent included), quit now find the lord jesus if you have too and do what it takes to get clean my friend
