basically, im a teenage girl and im a lesbian but i want to be a male and gay? why? im so confused, and i have been feeling like this for a year now. Help?!
Oh wow. and I thought I was weird for being a guy who likes women, but would like to be a lesbian.
I kind of have the same feeling. I'm a lesbian teen, though I feel this odd "jealousy" of (homosexual) men. I was a little confused for a while, but I figured it out. Kind of.
For me personally, I assume this is because of how boyish I am. Sometimes I wish I was a boy, because that would make me feel a lot more comfortable. I feel as if I'm a "little" transsexual, in the sense that I do not wish to change my body or identify as "he", but would probably be more comfortable with myself if I were born a boy (which unfortunately I am not).
Now the reason I feel this "jealousy" of gay men is simply because I cannot imagine being attracted to the opposite sex. For me it has always been normal to be attracted to the same sex. I'm pretty sure that if I were to snap my fingers and become a boy, I'd go for men.
I've always thought that homosexuality was "liking the same sex", not specifically "being a girl and liking another girl" or "being a boy and liking another boy". If that makes sense. Just the same sex, even if your own sex changes.
So, instead of suggesting you are bisexual (which you are not unless you are physically attracted to men, which she does not say she is), I'd suggest you are transsexual or genderqueer.
Some people's comments are so rude and closed minded, ignore them.
I wouldn't say it is common, but I do think it is normal. I have a friend who is going through a female to male transistion right now, he likes to identify as a gay man, he has told me before that he tried to hide his feelings for years, but it just made him miserable, he finally went to a doctor and got some help.
Maybe it's something you should talk over with a close friends of perhaps your doctor.

It sounds to me that you want to be masculine. Penis envy probably.
Okay my assumption: you are bi. But you don't like surrendering in a relationship so you stick to women though you still may be attracted to men. Times have changed but social norms do pin the women as the weak one so it does make sense you would avoid men for this reason. You don't want to be the weak one so you run to your equal, another woman. But you're still attracted to men. You believe that if you were a man you would have the perfect opportunity to be in relations with another man.
I think you're normal for having penis envy. And there are plenty of men that will let you dominate them with a strap on. Ok not plenty but they're out there.

Are you transgender? One can be transgender and homosexual. If you are, it's very normal and healthy :)
Sounds like you just want to be able to have intercourse with someone. Try it the way god intended and if its not for you then go back to licking puss.
What why? That doesn't make any sense, being a gay man requires you to like men, since you are a supposed lesbian that might be a bit of a problem. Besides I don't really see what is so different from being gay and being lesbian?
