Is it normal that if i don't go to the bathroom my diarrhea goes away?

Sorry to be gross. But if I have diarrhea and I can feel it coming, but I don't have access to a bathroom or I purposely don't go, it will sort of solve itself and if I wait about an hour it will turn into a normal poo! Does that happen to all of you? Is it normal?

You don't control the diarrhea, the diarrhea controls you! What do you mean "purposely don't go", you mean don't go to the bathroom, you just go? You're a modern miracle of human biology if you can talk diarrhea into backin off. You could probably turn coal into diamond with your sphincter if you are capable of this unfathomable feat. Kudos to you and your magic ass. In short, no i can't do this.

Strange.. What do you do when there's no bathroom and it's feeling good and ready?

Haha. Not really. I mean i can manage not to shit myself, but to contain it for a long period of time is out of the question, especially long enough to change consistency.

        • The story does sound like the poster has somehow managed to circumvent some basic rules of the human body and its chemical makeup.

Yeah, he/she could be a crime fighting superhero. i don't what the hell they'd do with the power to stop diarrhea but i'd figure something out because that is one seemingly inhuman talent. Ha

Then that's not diarrhoea. Diarrhoea can't be controlled especially if it's explosive. The last time I had it, I had it about 1-3 days. It was explosive and if I didn't go I would've gone on myself. I was in there for about 6 hours with non-stop watery explosions. It was horrible O_0 Sorry, if you've been grossed out, but that's the truth of diarrhoea which you don't seem to have. Your faecal matter is probably just soft, but won't stay like that if you keep holding it in. Eventually, it'll harden and cause constipation and you'll be wishing you had diarrhoea to clean you out.

Immodium is really very good at replacing the good bacteria you need to fight the bad bacteria that has given you diarrhea. You don't need to suffer for three days in the future - it works within the hour.

I guess the longer you hold it in, the more moisture gets absorbed by the intestines. It is probably healthier to go as soon as you can though to flush out all the toxins with your waste. Also make sure you drink plenty to replace all the water lost.

Yeah that's my logic! Cuz I can do this too. And I figured that moisture can't stay in your ass or it will get absorbed. That's why your bum trys to get rid of it. Your body said that this food is not for me so get it out before it gets absorbed! It's called osmosis.

I don't think it's worth the possibility of shitting your pants, just go to the crapper. What if you had to sneeze while "holding it in"?
