Is it normal that i wouldn't mind if my boyfriend and i split?

I still really like him and everything and he's the first guy I've thought I might fall in love with, but the idea of us breaking up doesn't bother me, just as long as he doesn't think I was emotionally attached. I don't think I would like giving him the satisfaction of seeing my cry over losing him.
I don't know why I've thought about it, because our relationship is really good and he's lovely.
Maybe I would care more than I let on?
What do you think?

What do you gain by withholding how you feel about it? I don't understand how this could make you feel better.

I think you should be honest: you like him, but you don't want a relationship with him. That's normal.

It obviously doesn't bother you because you're not in love with him.

  • It sounds like, at this moment, you're looking for something to convince yourself that you aren't emotionally attached to him. I think that you do love your boyfriend but he must've done something wrong to make you feel comfortable with the thought of him leaving.
