Is it normal that i woke up with super sensitive testicles?

Ok so I woke up last night around 3am and went to get a drink, I noticed my testicles felt a little funny so I touched them. The pain I felt when I just touched them was almost like being hit in the balls. VERY UNCOMFORTABLE!!. Went back to sleep for a couple hours and re woke to the same feelings and pains.. Is this normal, what could be the problem? Should I go to the hospital today?

    How old r u? This happened to me a few times when I was a teenager. Think it has something to do with puberty

      It's has nothing to do with puberty I'm 21 as it says In my name. The doctors in emerg said it's Epididymitis google it if you want. That's correct spelling

    I went yesterday they don't know what it is yet, they're running tests. Took some pills and got a needle in my butt cheek -.- that was not fun.. Going back today for an ultra sound?

    CHum, i thinkyou shd go and see a doctor straightaway, you may hav caught an infection inside.

      It's Epididymitis, and there is an infection but they don't know if it's an std yet. Haven't gotten the tests back yet

    I just remembered, you don't necessarily have to go to the ER. There are free clinics that take your insurance. :)

    Go to a doctor ASAP. If you can get an appointment for any time soon and you can afford it, go to the ER.

        Sorry. I worded my comment poorly. I've never been to an American Emergency Room, that I know of. So much is changing with our government, that I wouldn't be surprised if they set up a system like that.

          So you are in the US? I thought Obama was trying to set up the opposite of that, so that poorer people could get better health care? I don't understand US politics sometimes and particularly not the stuff about equal access to health care being some sort of communist plot from the 50's.

          It's certainly not 100% equal in Australia but no-one would be turned away from the emergency department in a genuine emergency because of lack of money, and ambulances are free if you have a health care card (social security). Our PM has just had to back down on a proposal to make everyone pay $7 to see GP's, because it was generally opposed. Specialists are another matter; I recently had the choice of waiting until April to see a pulmonary specialist about my emphysema or paying about $80 to see him privately next week .... I'm waiting until April

    I would, did it continue thru the day, notice any swelling or stuff in ur urine (blood, etc)? Go get a check up with ur doc and see what a professional thinks

      It's only 7am been like 4 hrs of this pain and yes it's still there. Urine looked normal no swelling so idk. I read somewhere that your testicle can get turned upside down and pinch the nerve. Maybe it's that

        Bro, go to doctor. It could be alot of things, UTI, kidney stones, etc.

        I got a UTI from reusing the same plastic bottle too much at work. Whatever it is it probay wont fix itself. Go to doc or walk in clinic. Times wasting
