Is it normal that i wish to never take care of my own children?

I just want to get pregnant, give my child up for adoption (to pass on my genes) and never see that child again. I cannot be an egg donor because I have a family history of genetic disease (nf1) and I do not want to take care of my child. I want freedom + my genes being passed down. Is it normal?

Sure, if you want to endure the pains of pregnancy, childbirth and the very real chance of establishing an emotional connection with your baby while it's inside you.

I think a better question is, would passing on your (admittedly defective) genes be a service or disservice to the world?

Not really. Why exactly do you want a child?

Why would you want to pass on your genes if you have a history of genetic disease? People like you are absolutely obnoxious. Keep your genes to yourself unless you are willing to do the actual work it takes in passing them on.... Raising your child.
