Is it normal that i wish to lose vision in my left eye?

I know this probably sounds horrible/crazy but hear me out. I have this desire to be rendered blind in my left eye due to the use of a large, sharp knife (like a Butcher's knife). I don't know exactly why I want to lose half my sight that way I just do. I guess it's because I want to be able to understand what half-blind and completely-blind people have to go through every day of their lives. I want to understand true loss and disability as to understand them and suffer along with them. Is this wrong/should I get help? Please don't take me for a troll.

DON't do it!!!!! You'll more than likely end up seriously regretting it. Please, talk to a therapist about this!

Buy a eye patch or a blindfold instead.

What are you, nuts?? Why the hell would you want to lose some of your sight?? Enjoy your sight, because one day you might wake up without any vision or one eye, and trust me when I say you'll be dying to have it back

Here is a much simpler solution. Put on a blind fold and try walking around. Having issues seeing is not fun.

Eye patch for a few weeks please!! See if you can cope without it for the time. When you take it off you will be more willing to keep the eye. just don't stick a knife in there, there are people on the organ transfer list who would be willing to take it off you if you don't want it that much.

Instead of seeing for yourself what a disability is like take other people's words that it isn't anything someone should desire. If they said "Oh yeah being blind or half blind is a pretty cool anomaly, I see milky white things and shit, it makes my day!" then yeah go for it. But I've yet to hear a blind person who possessed their eyesight at some point to desire to remain blind.
