Is it normal that i wish i were born somewhere else?

I was born and raised in Iraq and I hate life here. The society is male dominant. As a woman I have less freedom and as an Iraqi citizen, it's difficult to get a visa to enter another country. I feel like no matter how hard I work, I can't achieve what I want thanks to my country.

It's normal. I feel sorry for you, but not in a patronising way. I hope that you are free to travel soon, and regardless of what bullshit you see in the media, you are welcome in England as far as I'm concerned! I feel so strongly for my fellow girls, and I wish I could help you out more. We are doing so much to battle misogyny and we won't stop! You will leave. You will travel. You can go to another country and make it your new home if you wish. It will happen for you, I promise!

I have a few friends from Iraq who say the economy is really bad right now. And one said that even old women can't wear socks too short that show their ankles. You're normal to feel that way.

Try to get into America. Things are better here. Leave those degenerates behind.
