Is it normal that i wish i could've fought in the battle of stalingrad

In 1941 the German Wehrmacht pushed through into the USSR and fought through until Soviet forces cut them off in the brutal battle of Stalingrad.
I can't help but desire that feeling of being on the battlefield pushing through against the Red Army and either dieing or conquering.
Is that normal?

Unless my history is off the Battle of Stalingrad is the single bloodiest battle with the biggest loss of life (both military and civilian) in human history.

You also have no idea how brutal war and real combat actually is if you wish to be a part of it.

Idk but my son is weirdly interested in Russian history. He watches their victory march on YouTube and he even still calls it the Soviet Union.!

Good choice Bro, that was a fucking epic battle.

But I'd go Vietnam every time, brutal jungle combat, plus drugs alcohol and hookers.

That's not abnormal. I wish you'd fought there too. Would have saved me voting now.
