Is it normal that i wish i could meet my ancestors?

I wish that I could go back in time and meet my ancestors. I think that it would be a good thing to learn how they lived, what they accomplished in life and whether or not they enjoyed life. I might even have a ancestor that was alot like me. IIN?

I understand. My ancestors came here as slaves and I don't know precisely where they came from.

I was lucky enough to meet a second cousin. It was at Carpet Warehouse in Chipping Norton and he was in for a textured berber and I was having root canal.

We were both in the wrong place. That shop only sells berbers with a flattened loop pile, not the jazzy textured kind. Weird thing is, though, my second cousin turns out to be a dentist and I'm a carpet salesman so we went to a car park in Chipping Sodbury and exchanged services.

If anyone is reading this and is both my second cousin and has a career as a barista, please give me a call. My head is banging and I need a café bombón like Channing Tatum needs a good slapping. Which is to say, desperately.

I wish I could meet mine as well. I do believe they are always guiding me, helping me make decisions and what not. So, in a way I already know them and they know me =]

I'd hate to meet my ancestors. A ton of them were German (on both parents' sides) and I'm scared that I could be distantly related to Nazis. It doesn't help that I'm naturally blonde-haired and blue-eyed.

Every single person who I discuss my "German guilt" with thinks I'm being ridiculous (including my non-white friends). And recently my Nana (who has the German lineage on my dad's side) got offended when I told her that I'm scared of the possibility of being related to Nazis.

They all say that I'm not held accountable for the things my ancestors did, that there is no "guilt by association" but I still feel like my blood is stained with evil.

When I started researching my family history and learning more about my great-grandmother (paternal grandmother's mother), I was surprised by my reaction. She died at the age of 49 after having 11 children. She was one of the most kind and giving people in the world. I developed a very deep and lasting affection for her, even though she died 30 years before I was born.

I would also love to meet my ancestors to find out what they did and how they lived however it is nearly impossible to travel back in time, however einstein says time travel can be achieved through wormholes, where they occur is a mystery and how they appear more so! I suggest reading up more thouroughly on it than I have!:) It is only natural to want to meet your ancestors as they are essentially the reason for you being here :)
