Is it normal that i will only listen to one genre of music

I only ever listen to pop punk, hence stuff like the offspring, blink 182 ect, i can't get my head around anything else and feel like anything that was ever this good never ceased to exist past 2005, I still miss old school games, being a kid and just enjoying life...

Blink 182 is not punk. You should try listening to Iggy Pop and the Stooges or the Sex Pistols if you actually wanted to listen to Punk Rock music.

    "I wanna fuck a dog"...

    No I didn't just quote Blink-182 =P

Punk is awesome like Good Charlotte, Sum 41 of course Blink-182 and other awesome bands like Yellowcard =P

But only listening to 1 genre is kind of strange I think...

Great genre, but i can't imagine only listening to one genre forever. Seems to me like it would get very old! lolz

  • It's normal, but a very lame genre.

It's normal to stick to one genre, as long as it isn't dubstep.

Sounds like you're stuck in your childhood, just like 40 year old men who still read comic books... Nothing particularly wrong with you, as long as you can function normally.

You should listen to one genre and then branch off into different genres eventually. Example: Listen to early blink 182 when they had a more upbeat ska influence, get into The Aquabats (Travis was once in the Aquabats!), get into more Ska, Get into operation ivy, get into more raw punk, get into hardcore.

I really enjoy listening to the Offspring and I like some songs by Blink 182 as well. Definitely normal :)

I didn't consider them pop punk though. I just thought of them as rock.
