Is it normal that i will be having my braces for 4+ years?

Hey everyone, I have a pretty big overbite and it's taking a long time for it to be fixed. I've been following all the guidelines and my orthodontist says I'm doing great, but it's just taking so long compared to my friends (who had them for only 2 years or so). Is there anything I can do about it?

    Bad over bites are hard to fix and take ages. I had the same problem and I had them from 15-19, so yeah. Just hope you don't get bite turbos.

    My cousin she had them from age 14 to 17
    but her teeth are perfect, just think positive :)))

    It's totally fine. I knew someone who had it on for TEN years! She got them throughout high school and college. And trust me, nobody will notice them.
