Is it normal that i wear a wig whenever i go to casinos?

I do this because the smell of Cigarette Smoke stays in my hair, and it's not good for it. I know people can be very protective of their hair, but is what I'm doing normal?

    I think it would take more time and effort fitting and wearing a wig than to just use a clarifying shampoo and wash your hair afterwards.
