Is it normal that i wash my bras with my other clothes?

I don't hand-wash them or use a lingerie bag.

I hook the closures together so that they don't snag on my other clothes and then I toss them in the wash with the regular stuff.

It doesn't appear to damage them and I let them air dry after the wash - no dryer. Most of them are molded cups or lace and I only have one white one. I'm a 36G/H depending on the maker of the bra and they usually last about a year or two before they start to fray or fall apart.

What do you do with yours? How long do they last? Is using a lingerie bag really worth it and does it allow them to get clean enough?

I don't use bags or anything, I don't even hook them. I just throw them in. I wear a 36C padded underwire and it's a pretty common size and my bras usually last for... well I bought these three years ago so a good long time without ever fraying or getting damaged, depending on the brand.

I never use lingerie bags but I do tend to do a whole wash of just underwear on delicate. Unless I need to make up a full load, then I'll chuck 'em in all together on a normal wash. Doesn't seem to be a problem. Occasionally, I'll get a sharp stab in the boob from a loose underwire, but nothing a minute of sewing can't fix.

It's a case by case thing. For the most part- people overwork it on laundry issues of all sorts. Including no pun intended- sorting. Well yeah- it was a reach for a pun though as said- it's to me more about common sense.

As a guy I don't even sort colors, you mean you have to wash bras special??? Don't you just throw every piece of cloth that needs washing into the machine, add detergent, pick warm, hit start?

My mother bought me 10 lingerie bags for my 12th birthday. Just because.

I wouldn't wash my bra at all, so it would smell like boobs.

    Man, I love boobs...

Don't we all, but do boobs have a particular smell? I never noticed.

I never buy underwire because I end up cutting one end and yanking them out, but it's never been the washer that caused the damage, just wear over the years.
