Is it normal that i want to take acid?

Acid is the greatest mind fuck ever.
I used to do lots of it when it was available.
Now I am old (69) and don't know where to get it.
I've asked everyone I know for the last several years now and they say there is none but offer a ton of alternatives.
Pure LSD is totally wonderful. I strongly suggest all adults should drop acid at least 4 times a year as therapy for the world's ills.

Just don't drop acid if you are drinking or taking anything else, especially 'legal' drugs.

For the first couple of trips do it with pal who is NOT tripping but has done acid him/herself.

The experience is the complete opposite of any other drug - it's nothing like weed or cocaine or poppies.
It is, by far, the greatest experience(s) of my life. I am so thankful that I did it. I hate to imagine what my life would have been like had I never dropped.

Go to erowid.org in order to familiarize yourself with the dosage/effects of lsd and be sure to read lots of trip reports. This way, your mind will be at ease when you try the substance. Make sure that you are in a comfortable place and around close friends (unless you want to trip alone which is the way I had my first trip--very nice!) Educate yourself and you won't have a "bad trip" (which is just a case of having panic attacks while tripping--this is usually due to not knowing what to expect or being in a situation which makes you feel uncomfortable). Also, start with just one hit of acid so that you can get the feel for it. It's an enlightening experience for sure.

Dude i trip on shrooms all the time, but lsd is some serious shit. Make sure you have someone there who will talk you down...i have disney movies kicking around for that reason

Wow, I'm surprised at all the fear of LSD. It's a really interesting drug and not scary once you get the hang of it. Try a small dose with a close friend and be somewhere you're comfortable. Enjoy :)

Personally I've done it several times and I've always had a great time, My advice would be to do it during day (it makes you stay up for a really long time plus everything looks cooler in the daytime) make sure you have fun close friends around and someone sober there to kinda supervise the whole thing. Keep happy mellow thoughts and play some beatles or donnovan. It's definitely worth it though, most people who disagree haven't done it or had a bad idea about it when they tried it which caused them to have a bad trip. Acid will work with your brain but also completely blow your mind. Just don't be scared of it and it won't scare you..if that makes sense. But good luck!

lsd is an amazing trip but dmake sure you dont get crappy stuff cause its a really cheap buzz but if you buy some good shit you'll have the best time of your life

I have to add, that I hear all the time about flashbacks.
I wish it were true for me I'd love to have flashbacks. I miss being on acid- it's been 10 years since my last trip.
In total I have probably dropped acid a 1000+ times between ages 20 to 60 Thats 40 years of LSD. I have loved every minute of my trips. Never had a bummer altho' a memorable moment of pure paranoia once, that still goes down as one of my best trips.

I love LSD personally and did it for the first time when I was 17. I've done it 2 times since and then I began to experiment with mushrooms. I generally don't have the time to trip on LSD because it's a 12-hour event but it's surely colorful and magical. Mushrooms are sweet, but when you have visuals on acid, those are priceless and absolutely amazing. I recommend it. I've obviously never had a bad trip but I guess that you should take them with a friend to be safe.

These people are fools, do research on LSD. You will be more then fine by tripping once, remember it is your trip if you go in with negative thoughts and doubts the trip will not be as rewarding. Just stay focused on being happy, LSD is much more controlled then a mushroom trip.

It causes very strong hallucinations and you can't think straight on it. I have done it a few times but never again. There is always the risk of a 'bad trip' too.

I did it once, curious. Bad trip. Seriously bad, as in was almost arrested, almost killed someone & myself, and we both ended up at the hospital. Terrifying! So that "it only takes once" thing is too true here. Is it worth dying for?

I've taken it around seven times. I experienced paranoia each time. But the visuals were amazing! I've not taken it for over 15 years, but have often thought about it. I want to say you need to be this type of person, or that type of person to take it, but I can't possibly imagine what that person-type could be. I'm too ____ to take it. I don't know. I've taken it seven times. It stayed with me for years, I became obsessed with it while smoking pot, reliving it in my imagination. Depression + anxiety. There were times, when I thought I'd never get through it, both while on acid, and months after, years after. It can fuck you. Who knows if you can handle it? Who knows if you'll be able to handle having taken it? It took me years to handle having taken it.

You only live once.....but to shorten that time go ahead and do it.
