Is it normal that i want to stfu him ?

Since recently we have a guy who is coming by at the shore and goes into the water and he's having these loud monologues with occasional weird outbursts that do remind me of this crazy dovekeeper that I once met before who coincedentally developed this kind of tick while communicating with one of his doves...anyway, I just can't get my mind off it but think that this guy's either possessed by some evil force or cursed in one way or another or just plain mad/crazy in the head and that he might be talking or responding to angels, demons and/or even "The Devil" himself !

..I hear you saying: That sounds a lot like fiction !

So here's another hypothesis for you unbelievers :
He's *hearing things and can't deal with it quietly ? Does this make more sense ?

*In other words: He is "trying" to cope with auditory hallucinations...

..A.k.a he is a mad-man and should be put in an asylum ! (just kidding)

No but seriously: Is it normal for people to have like loud conversations with theirselves or like to respond so damn loud to thoughts or hallucinations in public and disturb public order like that and would it make us bad people if we'd want to put them in an asylum/lock them up behind bars until they learn to behave in society ?

He's possibly schizophrenic. I can't really see any other explanation. Talking to yourself is normal but doing so out loud while walking around in the water is not. He really should be getting some kind of treatment before he does something to himself or others.

I like the demon theory. He's probably a drug addict and demons can identify a weak mind and easy target.

We all have conversations with ourselves, it's completely normal and healthy. It shows the ability to think freely.

  • There's a difference to some people between thinking a thought and saying it out loud, especially when observing phenomena

Sometimes I'll look at the moon and say things like you're beautiful, you're shining bright, or I'll just imagine it as an eye or a razor's edge

Other times it could be a painting, watching a cloud pass by, or something that I can focus on absent mindedly while processing a lot of information and I'll have a eureka moment and speak the thought instead of just thinking it

I think it could be a similar concept to binaural beats, two distinctive notes that play in succession repeatedly which causes the brain to relax and function more efficiently; listen to Beethoven's fifth symphony for a lot of examples

He might be crazy I don't know, but I think a lot of people do talk to themselves when they're alone, I mean it's almost a little weird to me to not say anything if I'm alone
