Is it normal that i want to stay a virgin?

I would have said it's normal,
however if your doing it for the sole purpose of you wanting " to feel different from other people." then no, it's not. Its just a weird attempt to rebel.

I don't see how it will make you different from other people really. There will always be virgins and none virgins.

I say that your normal I felt the same way. But I wanted to stay pure because I know that I would be different and because I didn't want to lose that purity.

Yeah, I guess there's nothing wrong with it, but it's human nature to want to have sex. Also, there's plenty of other ways to feel different and unique.

If that's what you want, go for it. There is no rule that says everyone has to be a slut or manwhore. You will also be able to avoid all the problems (STDs, etc.) that come with promiscuous behavior.

thats a bit of a strange reason to want to be a virgin because there are so many virgins out there so you are actually not different. i think that is just an excuse because maybe you cant get any?

It seems normal to me. Virgins united? I'm not sure that's my reason for me to stay a virgin, but it does feel good to know that I differ from a lot of people my age (nineteen) in that way.

Wanting to stay a virgin for various reasons is normal, however if you're doing it just to be "different" that's a problem. You may want to figure out why you need so much to be differentiated and why it has to be a focus on your sexual self. When you could go Goth or do something "unique" like that? Being different is not about sex. Trust me.
